About the owner
Meet the founder
Hi, I’m Josh Martin, the founder of GoodRinger.
I’ve spent about 30 years keeping phones and networks running for businesses that can’t afford downtime. Sixteen of those years were at Motor Werks of Barrington, a Chicago-area auto dealership, as its systems administrator, so I know how much of a shop’s business rides on the phone at the front desk.
The rest of my career has been in telecom and infrastructure: SIP trunking, Mitel and ShoreTel phone systems, contact centers, and the networks underneath them. Today I manage technology infrastructure for a large school district in the northwest suburbs.
I started GoodRinger because a missed call is a missed repair. Modern AI can now answer every call, in English, Spanish or Polish, take down the details and book the work, and I’ve built it on the same phone technology I’ve worked with for decades.
GoodRinger is based in Lake in the Hills, Illinois, and serves body shops across McHenry, Lake and Kane counties.
